At the September 2007 Meeting, the Kentucky Youth Soccer Board of Directors approved a plan to mandate minimum coaching education requirements for all select coaches.  The minimum coaching requirements policy went into effect September 1, 2007, and each select coach will be required to obtain the proper coaching license or certificate prior to September 1, 2009.  To read the entire policy, click here.

Transfer Window Open 

Kentucky Youth Soccer approved a new transfer policy September 1st.  Part of the policy spells out that beginning November 1st through January 15, players may transfer teams without penalty.  After January 15, players wishing to transfer teams will incur a transfer fee.  To read the entire policy, please click here.

 

The relationship between the Board of Directors, the Executive Director/Office Manager and the Coaching Director is one of the most difficult to understand and manage effectively in youth soccer.

A Coaching Director or Director of Coaching (DOC) is hired by the Board of Directors and/or the Executive Director to meet defined technical need of the association - the development of players and coaches within the organization.

Registration is open for the US Youth Soccer adidas Workshop on February 7-9 in Pittsburgh at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center. Register now and save 50 percent through December 14.
