LEXINGTON, KY Oct. 2, 2006 –
Kentucky Youth Soccer proudly announces the appointment of Bryan Brooks to
the newly created position of Director of Marketing and Communications.
Brooks will be responsible for the overall development and implementation
of the organization’s marketing and communications strategic plan as well as
a renewed focus on recruiting and retaining new corporate sponsorships.
"Bryan
is a highly successful professional who brings extensive grassroots
experience and passion to his work," said Kentucky Youth Soccer Executive
Director Kris Zander. "We are delighted he has decided to join our
organization and we expect great things from him. Bryan is a highly
recognized leader who will fit in nicely with an experienced state office
staff.
Additionally,
this move will allow the entire staff office staff to focus additional
efforts on existing programs and the development of new member benefits."
Prior to
joining Kentucky Youth Soccer, Brooks worked for Host Communications since
2002, a Lexington based sports marketing company where he served in a
variety of roles. During his tenure at HOST, he served as the Tour Director
for the got milk? 3v3 Soccer Shootout, a 70-city National Soccer Tour until
HOST sold the operation in 2004. Brooks then moved into the Marketing
Services group where he provided marketing and research support for the
collegiate and corporate businesses.
Brooks
attended the University of North Texas and began his career as part of the
national office staff at US Youth Soccer in Dallas until making the
transition to Soccer Promotions Manager for adidas America where he was
involved in the management of the US Youth Soccer promotional contract .
"I am
very excited to be a part of the Kentucky Youth Soccer family and look
forward to the many opportunities and challenges ahead. Soccer has always
been a major part of my life and I value the chance to try and give back to
the game that has given me so much,” said Brooks. “My goal is to not only
continue the strong tradition at Kentucky Youth Soccer, but to help it
continue to grow and enrich the lives of youths across the state.”
Brooks is lives in Lexington with his wife, Becky. Brooks is
a native of Plano, TX.
