Basic/Original Granola Bites Recipe
Preheat oven to 350F. Spray or lightly grease mini-muffin pan (or use 8 x 8
baking pan for bars).
What you need:
- One box M&J's Granola Bites
- 2 heaping tbsp honey*
- 8 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1-2 tbsp warm water
*tip: before measuring honey, spray the baking spoon or coat with oil so the
honey glides off instead of sticking to the spoon!
What you do:
In a microwave safe bowl, melt honey and butter.
Add melted honey/butter and 1 tbsp water to Granola Bite mix. Blend until
moist and uniform.
Drop by tablespoons into mini-muffin tin (or press mixture into 8x8 pan).
Bake for 10-12 min (or 15 - 18 min if using an 8x8 pan).
Let cool completely and enjoy!
Low-fat Granola Bites Recipe
Preheat oven to 350 F. Spray or lightly grease mini-muffin tin or 8x8 square
pan.
What you need:
- 1 box M&J's Granola Bites Mix
- 2 tbsp honey
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 3/4 cup applesauce
Melt honey and butter in microwave, blend with applesauce and add everything
to Granola Bite Mix. Blend until moist and uniform. Drop by tablespoons into
mini-muffin tin or spread into 8x8 pan.
Bake for 14-18 min (or 20 - 25 min if using an 8x8 square pan).
Traditional Granola Bars with extra Oats
(Chewy or Crunchy)
A chewy or crunchy granola bar that you make fresh at home. Customize with extra
nuts or dried fruit. Dip in chocolate or add a swirl of icing. These keep for
several weeks in an airtight container, and kids will love them!
Preheat oven to 350 F
Spray or lightly grease 9 x 13 pan
Melt in Microwave:
- 1 box M&J's Granola Bites baking mix
- 4 tbsp butter
- 1/3 cup honey (or Karo syrup)
Add an extra 1/2 cup rolled oats to M&Js Granola Bite mix and blend well. Add
melted butter/honey to mixture and blend until moist and uniform (using clean
hands to ensure mixture is fully blended) add an extra 1-2 tbsp water as
necessary. With clean hands press mixture gently into 9x13 pan, the layer will
be thin (to make it easier, moisten hands with water).
For Chewy Granola bars: Bake for 15-17 min. Let cool for 5 min and cut into
bars while still warm (for easy cutting), then let cool completely before
removing from pan.
For Crunchy Granola bars: Bake for 15-17 min. Let cool for 5 min and cut into
bars, carefully place the warm bars on a cookie sheet and place back in the oven
(at 350) for another 5-8 min (until darker brown). Bars will still be soft out
of the oven, but once they are cooled will be nice and crunchy!
Blend into Granola Bite Mix until moist and uniform. With clean hands press
mixture gently into 9x13 pan, the layer will be thin (to make it easier, moisten
hands with water).
Bake for 14 min. Let cool completely, cut into bars and enjoy!!
Chewy Honey-Oat Granola Squares Recipe
A chewy, thin and sweet treat! Great for instant all natural energy during a
run, or as a sweet treat instead of candy.
Preheat oven to 350 F
Spray or lightly grease 9 x 13 pan
Melt in Microwave:
- 1 box M&J's Granola Bite baking mix
- 4 tbsp butter
- 1/2 cup honey (or Karo syrup)
Blend into Granola Bite Mix until moist and uniform. With clean hands press
mixture gently into 9x13 pan, the layer will be thin (to make it easier, moisten
hands with water).
Bake for 14 min. Let cool completely, cut into bars and enjoy!!
Peanut Butter Bites Recipe
Preheat oven to 350 F
Melt in Microwave:
- 2 tbsp honey + 2 tbsp unsalted butter + 2/3 cup unsalted crunchy peanut
butter
Add dry mix to melted ingredients and blend until uniform. Drop by tablespoons
into mini-muffin tin or 8x8 pan. Bake for 10-13 min (or 15-18 min if using a
square pan). Let cool completely and enjoy!
Nutty Granola Bites Recipe
Follow basic directions:
Add 1/3 cup of chopped nuts to the batter (pecans, walnuts almonds, etc..)
Bake as directed, enjoy!
Nuts add protein and heart healthy good fats!
Fruity Granola Bites Recipe
Follow basic recipe, add 1/3 cup of chopped dried fruits to the batter. Try
cranberries, blueberries, or apricots. |
